Alignment pins also know as aligning pins are removable locating devices used to precisely align mating workpieces in jigs and fixtures to workholders and workholding devices. Pieces are aligned by installing a pin in one part and a liner in the other.

Types of standard alignment pin handle styles include: T pins, L pins, convertible handle, and no handle.

Locking alignment pins are useful when the workholder is upside down.

Angle plates and angle irons are used to support workpieces in vertical positions for layout, tooling, and machining applications to prevent movement and distortion.

Clamp rest pads can be used as hardened work rests or as wear plates on your jigs and fixtures.

Quickly and permanently restore stripped, worn and damaged threads in any material. Coil tension securely holds the insert in place without undue tension on the surrounding material. They are vibration and impact resistant and will not strip or seize. Hex drive thread inserts create sturdy machine threads in soft woods. The are designed for applications where frequent assembly or disassembly could lead to thread erosion or stripping.

Quickly repair stripped, damaged or worn out threads with a new stronger thread using keylocking inserts. Keylocking inserts are easily installed using standard drills and taps. Once the locking keys are driven down, the insert is tightly locked and will not turn. Steel inserts are C1215, parkerized. Stainless inserts are 303, passivated. Internal threads are class 2B, external threads are 2A. Inserts with internal thread size 5⁄16 or M7 and larger have four locking keys. Smaller sizes have two locking keys. Solid inserts allow you to relocate or fill in holes that are too large. All the inserts listed are in stock for same day shipment.

Locating pins are used for controlled, tight tolerances to increase accuracy in positioning workpieces on fixtures. Typically, two pins are needed to properly align the workpiece. We offer round pins that provide precise location in all directions, as well as relieved or diamond pins that provide clearance with less contact to prevent binding during loading and unloading. These can be used in many different applications including clamping tables, fixture plates, v-blocks and other common shop tools.

The most common types of fixture locating pins are: threaded locating pins, diamond locating pins, with bullet nose and pin liners.

Adjustable locating screws are used with locating pins to accurately position workpieces in jigs and fixtures.

Machine screw jacks are height adjustable and used to support elevated areas of a workpiece. We also carry ball-shaped and V-shaped screw jack pads.

Press fit thread inserts are used for cored or drilled holes in plastics. They are designed to replace molded-in inserts or threads in plastic castings. Provides clean threads and screw locking action not obtainable in molded-in inserts. Available in brass or stainless steel.

These blind thread inserts offer strong torque and pull out characteristics, they feature a heavy duty head profile and increased thickness in the collapse area.
