Alignment pins also know as aligning pins are removable locating devices used to precisely align mating workpieces in jigs and fixtures to workholders and workholding devices. Pieces are aligned by installing a pin in one part and a liner in the other.

Types of standard alignment pin handle styles include: T pins, L pins, convertible handle, and no handle.

Locking alignment pins are useful when the workholder is upside down.

Our industrial-grade hoist rings are built to handle maximum load capacities and meet OSHA safety requirements. Made from heat-treated forged alloy steel, our selection includes stationary hoist rings; swivel hoist rings that swivel 360 degrees to allow lifting from any direction; and side-pull hoist rings that are designed for side mounting.

Locating pins are used for controlled, tight tolerances to increase accuracy in positioning workpieces on fixtures. Typically, two pins are needed to properly align the workpiece. We offer round pins that provide precise location in all directions, as well as relieved or diamond pins that provide clearance with less contact to prevent binding during loading and unloading. These can be used in many different applications including clamping tables, fixture plates, v-blocks and other common shop tools.

The most common types of fixture locating pins are: threaded locating pins, diamond locating pins, with bullet nose and pin liners.
