Vlier Pin
Vlier prides itself on being the inventor of the Vlier pin. Created four years after the end of World War II, it became the company’s flagship product. Used mainly for fastening small parts in tight spaces, Vlier pins have helped optimize manufacturing lines and contributed to the growth of post-war industries.
Vlier produces locating pins and quick-release pins that have a wide range of applications. A locating pin is used for securing and fastening small parts. It features a stainless steel body and plunger as well as a thermoplastic knob. A quick-release pin, on the other hand, is used for quick assembly and disassembly of parts. It features a handle and a button that locks the pin in place or retracts it for removal.
Vlier Ball and Spring Plungers
Vlier offers a wide selection of quality ball and spring plungers for locating, indexing, and positioning. Capable of withstanding massive side load, these products are made from steel or stainless steel and are practical for specific applications.
Press-fit spring plungers are ideal for softer materials such as wood or in situations where a threaded hole is unfeasible. Customers can even fasten these using a screwdriver. For applications that involve high amounts of heat, stainless ball plungers are ideal due to their resistance against rusting.
For applications requiring adequate electrical insulation, compact and lightweight nylon ball plungers can withstand high amounts of heat and pressure. For extra resistance against corrosion, stainless steel nylon ball plungers would be ideal.
Vlier Leveling Feet
Leveling feet are crucial for mounting and positioning machines. They need to provide extra durability and solid support. For superior leveling, Vlier offers stud mount and socket mount leveling feet from its High-Value Series. These provide an articulating swivel and a flexible seal for flexible yet sturdy mounting. In addition, these devices can be mounted on uneven surfaces.
Vlier Leveling Pads
Leveling pads protect leveling devices, prevent slipping, and reduce vibration. Pads made from rubber or elastomer ensure high amounts of friction and stability. Customers can order ribbed or waffle vibration pads depending on the environment. Either way, both excel in providing moisture and shock resistance as well as noise reduction.
