Levers

Levers multiply mechanical force, using simple leverage through a pivot point. The lever's job is to amplify the force applied, increasing the output force and reducing the amount of required effort. Industrial levers are used to control machinery, taking a small amount of energy, leveraging and transferring that power through a linkage into the torque necessary for switching gears, applying friction, lifting or a host of other mechanical operations. Reid offers several styles of adjustable cam levers as well as gear levers & shafts, heavy duty machinery control levers and clamping levers.
