Fastening Pins & Sets

 (11 product groups)

Fastening pins are used to join machine components or other workpieces and hold them in proper alignment. Quick release pins operate with an easy push-pull design, making them ideal for applications that require frequent or repetitive connections. Our line of quick release pins includes push-button pins, detent pins, and double-acting pins. Pull dowel pins have a tapped hole for easy removal and are available in smooth, flat side, and spiral groove styles. Grooved pins are solid cylindrical pins with full-length tapered grooves for more holding power. Spring pins are hollow and slotted so they can be driven and compressed into a slightly smaller hole. Choose from standard or self-locking cotter pins designed to lock other fasteners or washers in place. Clevis pins are typically used with cotter pins or spring pins to connect objects to a clevis yoke. We also stock an assortment of hitch pins, lynch pins, and hydraulic cylinder pins.

Clevis Pins

Clevis pins consist of a head, shank and cross drilled hole, and can be secured in place with a cotter pin, R clip or similar retaining fasteners.

Similar to bolts and rivets, clevis pins are used as quick, secure, and cost-effective fasteners; however, they can hold much more load tension of pulling forces when connecting two structural units.

Our assortment of clevis pins is sure to have the right size and type for your application. We carry both metric and standard sizes, as well as a variety of types such as quick release, hollow, and solid.

Materials also play an important role in your choice of clevis pin. Stainless steel pins are corrosion resistant and durable, while titanium pins are lightweight and strong. If you're looking for an economical option, our zinc-plated pins are a great choice. Whichever material you choose, you can be sure that our clevis pins are of the highest quality.

Grooved Pins

Solid non-threaded press fit fastener. Grooved pins differ from other press fit fasteners such as dowel pins, in that the holes do not need to be reamed prior to insertion. Commonly used in place of taper pins, rivets, set screws and keys. When the expanded portion of the pin is compressed into a hole a few thousands wider than the nominal diameter of the pin, radial forces lock the pin securely into the drilled hole. Made of low carbon steel, zinc plated with full length tapered grooves for ease of assembly.

Magnetic Quick Release Pins are used in applications where a positive stop is desired. The locking pins with magnetic axial lock are used for fast and easy fixating and joining of parts and workpieces. Magnets integrated into the grip ensure axial positioning and hold the locking pin in the inserted position. Smooth surfaces and a perpendicular insertion bore have a positive effect on the retaining forces.
